Bart Reiter Special Open Back Banjo (1986)
1986 Bart Reiter Special Open-Back Banjo
A wonderful example of a classic Bart Reiter open-back banjo, this 1986 Special was handcrafted in Michigan and offers the warm, distinctive tone that has made Reiter banjos favorites among old-time and clawhammer players. With a maple rim and neck, rosewood fingerboard, rolled brass tone ring, and planetary tuners, this is a beautifully built instrument with plenty of character.
The 11" Fiberskyn head and open-back design give this banjo a warm, traditional voice that is equally at home with clawhammer, frailing, and old-time playing. This instrument has been well cared for and comes with its original hard-shell case.
